Todd Foreman, Partner-CEO

Todd is a CPA and began his career at KPMG and then spent four years in the commercial real estate business before joining UCG in 1992, as Director of Acquisitions and CFO. He became a partner at UCG in 1996. Over the years, Todd has led UCG’s acquisitions and divestitures. He has also worked closely with UCG’s portfolio company presidents on their business strategies, and with UCG’s Senior Management Team.

Todd is a graduate of Emory University and The George Washington University, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance. He is a member of the Young President’s Organization; BLR, LLC; Manitou Camps Foundation; and is the chairman of the Goizueta Advisory Board at Emory University. He loves family time, great wine, golf and travel.

Nancy Becker, Partner-President
Nancy Becker, Partner-President

Nancy joined UCG in 1982 as a researcher for a petroleum publication and soon led the expansion of the government contracting product line into a division with several electronic services and print products. Over the years she ran several UCG business lines and became partner in the late 1980’s. She works closely with the management of UCG’s Shared Services and the Senior Management Team, and consults to our presidents on operational issues.

Nancy has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rider College, is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Owner/President/Management program, and a graduate of Leadership Montgomery. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education and as an advisor to Aunt Hattie’s Place. Outside of UCG Nancy enjoys her family, horseback riding and skiing.

Jon Slabaugh
Jon Slabaugh, Managing Director, Business Development

Jon leads all M&A activity for the company and provides strategic business development guidance to our presidents. He joined UCG in 2004. Prior to UCG, Jon was a co-founder and managing director of MCG Capital Corporation, a financial service firm where he led the firm’s investments in business information services and media. At MCG Jon managed a wide range of M&A investments in over 30 private and public companies (including UCG).

Jon earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Virginia and Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Denison University. He serves on the board of several community oriented not-for-profits and enjoys skiing, sailing and travel with his family

Steve McVearry, General Counsel

After serving as UCG’s outside counsel for many years as a partner at Greenberg Traurig, Steve joined UCG full-time in 2008 to provide and oversee legal services to all of the UCG companies. Prior to UCG, Steve was also a partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C. He has served as outside counsel to companies of all sizes in a variety of industries and has advised clients on a wide range of business, transactional and corporate law issues including mergers and acquisitions.

Steve earned a Juris Doctorate degree with honors from the University of Baltimore Law School, and a Bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Steve enjoys spending time with his family, golfing with friends and attending high school, college and professional sporting events.

Chris Dingee
Chris Dingee, Chief Financial Officer

Chris provides financial oversight to UCG’s strategic and operating activities and oversees all finance and accounting functions of the company. He works closely with UCG’s portfolio company CFOs and CEOs. Chris joined UCG in 1999 as Controller, was promoted to Director of Finance in 2003 and to CFO in 2008. Prior to UCG, Chris was the Assistant Controller for Hanley-Wood, a Washington DC based publisher of trade magazines serving the residential building and remodeling industry.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University’s Ancell School of Business. In his free time, Chris enjoys playing golf, cooking and attending his daughters’ dance competitions and swim meets.

Shalisa Mohamed
Shalisa Mohamed, Chief Information Officer

Shalisa collaborates with UCG’s presidents to provide product and application support & development, back-end operations and help desk services. She joined UCG in 2005 as IT Senior Project Manager, then moved up to manage QA and IT Project Managers. Prior to UCG, Shalisa was the Director of QA for Deloitte & Touche Tax Technologies, Manager of PMO at Hughes Aircraft Co., Manager of Product Development & QA at Hughes-Avicom International, and assisted with satellite design at Hughes Space & Communications.

Shalisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing and watching sports.

Mitchell Barlow
Mitchell Barlow, Chief Technology Officer

Mitch works closely with each UCG company to provide IT services and to ensure the direction of the computing infrastructure aligns with UCG’s objectives for security and speed. After joining UCG in 1997, he led UCG’s technology strategy for desktop, data center and technical infrastructure to meet the growing demands of a growing company. Prior to UCG, Mitch served as the Director of Technology for Montgomery County Government and as the technology director for the NRECA.

Mitch attended Boston University and New York University. Mitch loves to cook, play golf and entertain.
